This stunning decaf is so good, it had to become a staple on our menu. We hope to always have this Colombian EA process roasted both ways on our menu. This is the darker version, great as filter and brewing more easily as an espresso than the lighter roast version of the same lot. You can also find this darker decaf in our half caf Mindful Blend.
What's the EA process? Washed coffees are delivered milled to the decaffeination plant where they are first steamed to remove silver skin before being moistened to open the pores of the seeds. The seeds are then submerged in a sugarcane-derived ethyl acetate solution which strips the caffeine into the solution. It is then steamed again to remove the ethyl acetate. As the coffee is still wet, it is dried again to achieve the desired moisture content.
The Monkaaba producer group A smallholder coffee grower empowerment initiative whose goal is to assist other growers in the area to not only find a better market for their coffee, one that pays a solid price, but also to invest in the knowledge and skill of producers in a way that ensures their future success while making them more autonomous.
We release many regular coffee from the group throughout the year and they are always delicious!

Ce que l'on aime le plus est leur complexité même s'ils sont ''décaf''
Ce profil en particulier, rend une belle acidité qui nous rappel les oranges cuites comme une bonne marmelade maison.
Le café est très sucré un peu comme de la panela (sucre brun) et a de belles notes de noix de grenoble.
Il a également un côté épicé par moment comme la canelle et la citrouille épicée, nous aimons beaucoup ce café!
Il s'adapte parfaitement à toutes les méthodes d'infusion, mais il est extra sucré et équilibré en filtre.
