We are happy to be releasing yet another less known origin with this beautiful Ugandan coffee.
What struck us first about this lot was a sort of duality in the profile: it's tropical, yet with classic notes of chocolate! It tastes like blending a coffee from Tanzania with a Brazilian one. We experienced heavy notes of cocoa and pineapple, with a bilberry flower finish and hints of nuts.
It's also special to buy this coffee from Crop to Cup coffee importers as this coffee was their first ever connection when they started their business and the main reason it exists today.
In a country were 80% of the production is robusta, it can be challenging to consistently find producers who focus on delicious arabica. The logistics to gather coffee from hundreds of micro producers to bring an exceptional cup is hard, but well worth it.
